There’s a track that we see off the main road that goes towards the sea that we’ve commented a couple of times that we must take a look at and see where it goes. I did try to have a look last year but the track was overgrown.
However I’ve noticed that the track is looking clear so we took our lunch down there thinking that there might be somewhere nice to sit. And there was!
I think if we were more adventurous we could get down to the sea and I am pretty certain I’ve seen people heading down the track before with fishing gear. But we stayed near the top and found some nice rocks to sit on for lunch.
Right at the very top right of the photo below you can see mermaid rocks outside San Cibrao – and the very last jutty out bit at the back on the horizon are paper rocks – where Ian and Andy ‘entertained’ S & me with their antics last year.

In the other direction I think we see as far as the rocky bit just before Rueta beach.

It was quite interesting – the rocks have the same formation as the ‘paper rocks’ do.
And the colour of the sea was the brightest turquoise, the photos actually don’t do it justice.
I’m not sure why the sea was such a very bright colour – it must be somethign to do with the rocks under the water reflecting the sun?

This is where it is – we walked down the main road and then up a path to get to it – however looking at the map I wonder if we could walk across the top of that hill. The main thing that would make it not possible (other than the fact it could be private land) is if it is too overgrown. But I am sure one day we’ll find out!!
