Normally there would have been big carnival parades this weekend, however they didn’t happen this year. There was a covid-safe carnival celebration in the village on Monday, but I think it just involved people in their costumes all stood 2 meters away from each other.
The evening curfew has been lifted – depending on where you live it’s been lifted to 8 or 10pm. Cinemas, shopping centers etc are allowed to open again – but with capacity limits. Bars were able to open anyway until the curfew, however without music with the aim to stop people shouting.
The situation in Extremadura is back to how it was in August, and in Spain as a whole, the number of cases per 100k people has dropped.
