There’s two wind turbines just outside San Cibroa (mermaid town) and we can see them from the beach in San Cibroa and also from the road, but we don’t actually drive past them. There’s a fish farm and trading estate and the wind turbines are at the end of this. As we haven’t been down this bit, we took a small detour to explore.

And we got a completely different view!
We can clearly see how the town is split by the beach, and further out we can see the breakwater that has been built from the big concrete doldos.
I don’t think there is a beach along this bit – but I am sure that it is used by fishing people. But it will certainly make a great spot for a picnic. I’m not sure how easy it would be to walk there other than on the main road, but it’s something we’ll explore further.

Sea Mist

This is the first time we’ve experienced this – and I’m not sure how typical it is, however yesterday we had a sea mist which was quite thick. This is from the front of the house and we could see the mist coming from the sea and moving up the river. At the back of the house the houses behind us kept disappearing.
It was a very strange sensation as the sun was shining over us – you can make out the shadows in the photo above, but the mist was swirling around. It felt all wrong!
