seems to have forgotten her ducklings. She and Waldo, plus the two ducklings who Little Sheep brooded have bonded and the four of them are quacking round the garden. The ducklings have settled down upstairs and look quite happy.
I am trying to make our silkies go broody as I have some white runner duck eggs coming which I want them to brood. Apparently you need to leave some eggs around and this makes them go all soft and broody. Unfortunately having made a rather alluring nest this morning, the shed door slammed shut so they couldn’t get in and see it and start thinking of chickigrows. Silkies are well known for going broody, so fingers crossed.
Had to get Genghis’s head out from the fence again this evening. He may not be the brightest button, his head gets stuck in the fence more often than it should. I think he is not used to his growing horns.
Lambey is outside tonight without her jacket. I don’t think it will be long before she is outside permenantly now as she seems to be regaining her fitness rapidly.
