Occasionally, we see a cluster of fishing boats together. We see them most at night. I’m not sure if that’s because they are easier to see at night or if the particular type of fish they are after are more catchable at night.
However the other morning I saw a massive number of fishing boats clustered together. I counted 12, but could see more lights twinkling to the left and right. we looked at the boat tracking app that we have and indeed, there were loads of them all in this one particular area. I think it is bonito, which is tuna, but I’m not sure if it’s a particular type of tuna.
It did look a bit like an armada on the horizon though!
There was also a really thick sea mist too! This photo doesn’t really do it justice – but it’s quite a nice pic! The mist was floating through the open window – which was quite strange 🙂

And this week I saw the boar family again, plus another boar and a fox. First fox I’ve seen since we’ve been here and first red fox I’ve seen for almost two decades! The foxes in Extremadura were grey. This was a proper red fox with a white blob at the end of his tail. It was quite funny as the fox was crossing the road at the same spot that the boar was crossing the road, but in opposite directions.
