Today is our 10th wedding anniversary – or long service award as Ian likes to think of it. Significant because not only is it an extremely long time – but also because it is the first when we haven’t argued about the number of years or the date. It is obviously a good job I am not a betting person, as I would have put the house on the fact we got married on the 4th of August. However, I am apparently alone in this, and even the calendars tell me otherwise, so I must just write my confusion down the the unbridled happiness of the day that obviously addled my mind.
We have celebrated by getting the new car and taking delivery of some new furniture. Our anniversary furniture is two chairs for the living room. These are currently strewn, in pieces, around the living room in boxes (much to the delight of cats, who love nothing more than a cardboard box or two) and no doubt photos will follow when / if all the bits are successfully put together. I am hoping that now we are with car again, we may also sneak an anniversary trip to Seville in at some point, as I can hear IKEA calling…
