Boats

This is a ship at Burela port which is being stacked with eucalyptus logs.

Here are the stacks of logs. These are actually very big piles, however it’s not clear in the photo. There’s a crane towards the right of the pier (?) which gives some indication of size.

And there has been some more eucalyptus clearing, this is on the corner as we drive to San Cibroa (mermaid town).

Beach

And logs often wash up on the beach – I wonder if they come from the boats?

Ian is demonstrating the size of them. I am sure they would do some damage to the small fishing boats if they were to hit them.

This is a little fishing boat that we were watching. As we watched it it did a 180 degree turn – similar to someone doing a handbrake turn. Wonder how they do that! I imagine that this would be the size boat which would be damaged if it hit a big log.

I’ve been hoping to take a photo of the train going over the bridge. Needless to say, I just put my camera away after taking this photo of Daisy – and the train went over the bridge! It would have been a perfect pic too!

This photo is of ‘our’ beach at high-ish tide. We normally try to go at low tide as this is better for beach combing, but it was nice to see a different view-

And here’s a photo of another pile of animals! Horace and Percy are at the back, laying on Dimrose with Dumpling to the right and Daisy to the left.

Duet

And to end with something that I think is the cutest thing in the world 🙂 Ludvig and I duetting. Somehow, he’s started joining me in ‘I’ll always love you’ – with him joining with the Youuuuuuu.

He also joins in with ‘if you’re happy and you know it flap you wings’ – and he does ‘flap flap’.

And ‘don’t worry be happy’ – with him joining with the ‘be happy’.

And he’s also starting to do it the other way, with him starting the duet. He’ll go ‘Zip…’ to start ‘Zipidedoodah’.

Sadly, I don’t think Ian thinks it’s as cute as it do, moaning about the terrible high-pitched squeeking – and I don’t think he’s referring to Ludvig 🙂
