We went to a Bodega yesterday for the first time. We went to El Reposa on the way home from buying something to stick the exhaust pipe together (and look for portable air conditioners) in Zafra and popped into see some people who live there on the way back. We bought 15 litres of wine in a box – plus 6 ‘expensive’ bottles (3 euros each). We’ve had the wine in the box before, but bought it from a supermarket so now we’ve seen where it is actually made.
We were talking to the lady at the Bodega who showed us an organic bottle of wine which has won awards. She said that they have a very poor trade from locals who still don’t ‘get’ organic. Most things here are organic by default so they are suspicious of the label ‘organic’.
