We’re going to have to take drastic action with our broody hen. She has been broody for several weeks now, and it looks like she just thinks she is hatching invisible elephant eggs. From what I’ve read we need to stop her from feeling comfy and not give her the chance to find a nice warm dark corner to nest. We’ll try locking her out of the chicken shed during the day and see what happens.
Spot’s eggs are coming less frequently now, however it is quite surprising that she’s laying at all this time of year.
