A crowd of children came round on Monday night and we eventually worked out that they were asking about the kittens. Ian was remarkably quick thinking and told them to come back with their parents. It turned out that the girl who wanted a cat, was the daughter of a disabled lady who couldn’t come out the house so we asked for her to come back yesterday and we’d take a kitten to her house and we could check it was OK while we were there.
Last night there was a knock at the door and the girl was there on her own, it was a little like the Wizard of Oz, she is a very little girl, and the door is very big. Anyway, one of our neighbours came round to help, which reassured us that the parents did know that a cat was coming.
She chose Thompson (who used to be called Gunc Twin). Thompson is the smallest. We thought it would be BT who is very friendly and cuddly. But BT had managed to eat a slug or something which had crusted around her mouth, and then was playing in the dog-poo bucket. Unsurprisingly this made her rather unappealing.
