I think we may know this as a bird’s house gourd? But here they are called calabaza peregino which is ‘Pilgrim’s Gourd’ and pilgrims taking the camino Santiago would use them to carry water.
I’m not sure what we’ll do with ours. Probably not turn it into a water bottle, but perhaps a light
