Caolin Beach

A while ago, a man we used to talk to when Daisy was playing ball with his dogs, told us about a beach which isn’t too far away which he said was very pretty, being famous for its white sand and which we had added to our list of things to do, but hadn’t got round to yet.

So we went to take a look, it was near the Viking beach and is a small beach which you have to walk to. It was very pretty and in a nice location – but I’m not sure the sand was whiter than on any of the other beaches we’ve been to.

This was on an inlet which went to a small port which seemed more about leisure craft than fishing, so when we were sat on the beach we could see different types of boats than we see here.

Behind the beach was an old salting factory, and the sign explained that in Galicia there was a different way of salting fish than in ‘Spain’.
