Ian built a cat tree so we can keep the cat food away from the dogs. Previously, we’d had the cat food in the little hallway that leads off the living room, that Ian cut a ‘cat flap’ through just after we moved in. While this worked well, it did mean that every time we opened that door, what feels like hundreds of dogs come charging through looking for any dropped pieces of cat food. It also means the cats are more likely to use their litter tray than go outside as where they are fed is as far away from thhe front door as possible.
So Ian looked through our scrap wood collection and found we had enough to build a cat tree and here it is!
It is in the hallway when you come through the front door. It looks huge – but Babbity is a very small cat AND remember the door handles are a little above knee height!
