Larry gives us hours of pleasure. Whether he is falling off his perch, trying to bite Rosie’s nose, getting over excited by a new toilet roll in his cage, there is always something going on in his little parroty world.
We’ve thought he was odd – however it transpires that the whole breed is renowned for its oddness. I was trying to find out what one of his little dances means, and I found a parrot website which describes Patagonian Conures as being ‘the clowns of the parrot breeds’. And I must admit, after watching him head butt his cone so it swings back and then watching him try and fail to dodge it, I can see what they mean.
