She does look a bit raggedy, and there are some ends to tidy up – but as long as she doesn’t look in a mirror, I don’t think she’ll mind too much!
I had originally thought I would do it myself, however it quickly turned into a two-person job – with one of us wrestling her still, the other stood in front of her trying to divert her attention with a little treat of something – which left both of us with no hands to actually do the trimming!
I have read several times (written by dog trimmer manufacturers, no doubt) that dogs love being trimmed and spending quality time with their owners. Well, all I can say to that is none of our dogs have ever shown the slightest bit of delight in spending quality time with us while being trimmed!!
Happily, Daisy will only need trimming one time a year, so next year we’ll definitely take her to the groomer to do it!
