Doors

Did I mention that we bought some Indian doors, from Ebay France, which came from a man in Germany? Well, they finally arrived! We weren’t too sure what to expect, however they arrived and they’re great (they are upside down in the pic)! They are going to go at the back of the hallway in a similar position to the gates at the front. This will mean that we can keep the animals out of the front of the house, which, if we do ever do bed and breakfast, will be important.

What we didn’t appreciate – although we were told – was how heavy the doors are. It took Ian and two others to get the doors from outside the garage into the garage. Getting them into the house will be fun! Manuel will fit them, we’re not sure how as we need to see them in situ to see what they will look like. The will go by the pillars, so there might be a little jiggery-pokery to get them fitted. We’ll also need to put something above them. Some metal work, like railings or something, perhaps. Anyway, we’ll let Manuel work his magic.

We’ve also got the ball rolling with regards to getting the back yard sorted. We’re waiting for someone with a tractor to dig it over.

Had another request to join my English class, which will give me three 8 year olds. The older one asked for an extra lesson yesterday, and they played up the whole time – sigh…
