Elephants, monkeys, mongoose, zebras – and storks!

We’re still really enjoying watching the webcam of the wildlife in Kenya. I’ve given the baby elephants names and we’re getting to know their habits. We keep the webcam on all day, so can keep an eye on what’s going on! It’s quite amazing that we can watch the wildlife of Africa while we’re eating our tea!

The elephants are interesting, and the other day we saw a bit of an elephant fight – there was definitely a clash of tusks. I think it was two adolescents. We also so an adolescent square up to the big male – but just one look from the boss elephant and he backed off.

There are a lot of birds, including some massive storky things – which reminds me that our storks have come back. We saw them for the first time this week – but I wonder if they are going to be too late to breed this year. There’s only about three or four, but it’s nice to have some here. I wonder where they’ve been!
