So he went back on Friday to get trimmed. Goodness me, when he came out he was tiny! I remember being surprised last time too. His fur is very thick and when it grows it really bulks him out and we forget what a tiny body there is underneath it all. What we can see now he is trimmed is what good condition he’s in. Although I have problems feeding him, he doesn’t look too thin and his fur is lovely and shiny.
Unfortunately this time, when he came home, he seemed to have been set back a bit. It took over a day and a half for him to bounce back to his normal self. I think part of it might be that they used quite a strong smelling shampoo or something on him and he smelled of apples quote noticeably. Although he doesn’t have a great sense of smell, I wonder if the fact that he smelled of apples unsettled him.
He would also have ‘felt’ different. He would be used to his hair being a guide for moving around and suddenly it had gone.
I’m glad he’s back to his normal self again now.
The car is back from the garage – which is just as well as it has to go in for the equivalent of an MOT on Friday. Fingers crossed it will pass again this year!
