We have a kitchen tap! Admittedly we don’t have a kitchen sink, but we do have a lovely new tap. It is so lovely that it came packed in a nifty little cotton bag.
Manuel is coming round tonight to fix the stove that got blocked. Which means we’ll have heat in the house again. As it has started to get cold (went under freezing last night for the first time) we shall be glad of the fire. The marble and granite man is coming round tomorrow to do the final measurements for the worktop and the plumber is going to be fitting the sink -plus the appliances. So, we could be cooking on a proper cooker for Christmas. But seeing that we’ve decided on a bread and cheese feast, it won’t matter too much if we don’t!
I broke the news to Ian last night that we’ve got a morning of manualidades to look forward to next week. There’ll be eight children this year. Seeing that we were finding glitter and glue globules for months after the last Christmas craft session, goodness knows how we’ll end up after this year’s mess-fest.
