Little Big Ears & Back to School

I’m not sure what this photo shows, other than our apparently clever dogs are in danger of getting their heads stuck in the railings not realising they can’t get in and out like Percy can 🙂

Schools start back next week. 75% of teenagers have been vaccinated now, and classes will no longer be sent home if one pupils tests positive, so things will be a better for students.

And on the subject of vaccinations, a program is starting giving a third dose of vaccination to immune compromised people. Spain hit its target of getting 70% of the population fully vaccinated by the end of the summer and I think that 75% now are fully vaccinated, but we’re still warned to expect a tough winter.

It’s been quite funny, as every morning for quite a while, Spain has had the highest % of fully vaccinated adults out of the larger countries (not counting places like Israel which has had a high % vaccinated from the start). However, this record has then subsequently been beaten by Canada as their working day starts – for their record then to be broken again by Spain the next day as the Spanish working day got under way!

We had a few cases in the village a couple of weeks ago, I think there were 7 at the same time, which is actually a relative high %, however luckily, it didn’t spread.

I’ve been teaching Ludvig to sing ‘Mama Mia’, which he does with mixed success (it appears to be Mama Mia, cooey cooey), but he’ll get there. I obvously didn’t think this through though, as his favourite time for singing is of course dawn. We have a dawn chorus like noone else 🙂
