We went to the market yesterday to look for bedding and towels. We know the chap with the market stall and he said that now was the time for beach towels and not duvet covers etc, however if we went to his house we could sort it all out. He lives up by the castle, so that will be easy. We’ll probably go up one afternoon (Spanish afternoon, that is – the time after siesta and before the sun goes down). He also sells chair covers – not nice ones – just the nylon-y stretch ones, but they’ll be fine for the short term. He’s going to come round and see what we need. A sofa cover will only be about 15 euros, so even if we replace them after a couple of months, it won’t be a waste of money.
Sam has still not had any fits – over 8 months now, I believe. He had started again this time last year, so we are keeping a close eye on him, incase there should be any pattern.
Had to take Henry to the vet because of an ear infection. Similar to what he’s had before. We got told off for not keeping the hair inside his ears trimmed. I thought the reason why they had hair there was to keep things out – but the vet said that having hair there kept things in! We’ve trimmed his hair and he’s got ear drops now – but keeping his ears clean is something to watch for the future.
Still hot – and unusually, with guests coming, no sign of the weather breaking yet!
