Mirror!

A mirror arrived outside our house on Friday. I’m not sure if it’s so we can see if anything is coming round the corner or whether things coming round the corner can see us. It’s a bit of a blind bend, and although there’s probably no more than a handful of cars that go past daily, people do have to take care when going round the corner.

We also get a good view of what’s coming up the road from the house!!

I’m not sure what the plans are as the mirror isn’t permenantly attached yet, however it’s a handy thing to have.

I moved the gourds from the undercover area to under the horreo where they will get more fresh air. They were going mouldy (not in a good way) so I’m hoping that the fresh air will allow them to dry without decomposing.

We went seaglass hunting at the weekend, but got the tides mixed up and there wasn’t much beach to comb!

So we went for a picnic by the lighthouse and got another view of San Cibrao, looking over the port to the Alumunium plant.

It was the first time we’ve seen the sea wall (????) from that angle.

And we had another colourful morning! I missed the darker reds as it had gone a bit pinky when I finally got ready to take a pic!

The owners of the house in the middle of the photo are doing a bit of work to it, I think with a view to renting it out. All of those houses are currently uninhabited, so it will be interesting to see what happens.
