This is a more humble bench, and while it may not proclaim itself the Best Bench in the World – it was certainly worth a visit 🙂
After going to San Cibrao shopping, we turned left and went to somewhere we’d been before – but it was very windy on our previous visit and very unsuitable for a picnic!
‘Mermaid Island’ is the set of two little islands at the back of the photo at the right – and that’s the islands at San Cibrao, so it’s really quite close.
The white spray in the middle of the photo was a Search and Rescue boat, but I’m not sure if they were doing any searching or rescuing.
The bench is on the top of this hill:
And the view from the top is expansive – this is looking in the other direction which is the Viviero port and then along the coast eventually, I think, to the real Best Bench in the World.
Sunrise
This isn’t a very good sunrise photo, however I took it because it’s a different place to where I normally take sunrise pics. Anyway, I took the photo, put my camera away, turned round and found myself almost nose to nose with a deer! It was stood behind me also watching the sun rise 🙂
Of course, I didn’t stand a chance of taking a photo of it, as soon as I moved it headed off!
