Pet Flap!

We have a pet flap in the front door. With the new stove we realized we’d be heating the kitchen for the hot air to just go out the door which we leave open. Although since the cold spell has passed, we haven’t really lit the stove but it’s nice to know we can if needed

So Ian took out a panel from the door to make a pet flap.

Daisy has had to demonstrate how to use it:

Coming out!

And going back in again…

Percy has taken a bit of time to work it out. He needs to put quite a lot of effort into pushing the curtains inward. But he’s getting there!

Charlie (who still hasn’t had another seizure since we went to the vet in autumn so it not taking any medication yet) and Queenie remain suspicious, but shouldn’t have any problems.

Dumpling and Millie may need help. Pixie actually has problems getting up the steps, so I don’t think she’ll make use of the pet flap and I don’t think Horace will either as he gets carried outside. I think he ‘might’ get the hang of it if he thought there was a duvet the other side!

Primrose and Babbity shouldn’t have any problems, Roland may find it confusing, but hopefully he’ll get the hang of it. He did when we had a pet flap in our last house, but he had Pirata then to teach him. He’s more on his own now.
