We’ve had a fair bit of rain over the last few days. We also had a proper electrical storm which is the first we’ve had for a while. The soil’s gone very heavy now in the back yard, so we’ll need to get things planted before it dries rock hard. Perhaps a crop of potatoes will be on the cards. It’s a shame that the chickens ate the tomato plants as, although it has been wet, it hasn’t been too cold and I’m sure this would have got them off to a flying start.
Henry is showing no ill effects from his operation earlier this week.
Over 20o Union Jack freebies were downloaded from Away With the Pixels, which I was pleased with. Particularly as people have to register and I know that this will put some off. I don’t think that this will have been typical Away With the Pixel users, however hopefully it was a good way to help to test the site. I’ve now got over 300 products in the store, and have a lot more to upload. The aim is to upload something new every day to make the store interesting for people to come back to. The new freebie this week is the digital stamp monster.
I squeezed in a couple of short cycle rides this week. I was hoping to go every day and had thought that after class would be the best time, however it seems to have rained most afternoons. I did get a short ride in one day and was interested to see a flock of very large birds of prey circling in the country, however my interest changed to slight alarm as they started circling with apparent intent over me. I hope they didn’t see my wheezing and spluttering as I got to the top of another slight incline as being an indication of an early lunch for them. I am sure they were doing the bird equivalent of licking their lips.
It would be great if we could train Rosey to follow us when we were cycling, however the prospect of a hideous tangle of bikes, humans and dog is too much of a horrifyingly realistic prospect for this to be a serious consideration,
