After months of being seizure free, Sam had a fit last night. If his old pattern comes back, he is likely to have another one soon and then hopefully no more for a while. We’re not too worried about him having one, as it would be too much to hope that we could stop his fits by more frequent worming and feeding him twice a day, but we do hope that he doesn’t get into the cycle of very frequent fitting as he was earlier in the year.
Certainly the only predictable thing about the pattern of Sam’s seizures is the unpredictability of them. He’s been over a year in the past without a seizure and also had multiple ones in one day. If there was more of a pattern we could consider medication, but it seems a shame to give him medicine when he can go months without a seizure.
Ah well, fingers crossed that this was a one off…
