They are getting later going to bed now, and one was still pecking away last night when we shut the ducks away, so we left the door open to their shed and forgot to close it. Luckily everyone was OK, but they were up and rooting around at 7.00, so it must be getting noticably lighter. It is gone 5.30 now when the last one goes into the shed.
The sheep wait outside the front door and fling themselves onto us. I have to wrestle Freckles and BlackKnees off me. Perhaps they are not so cute now they are full grown sheep launching themselves onto us!
Emma and Ed came up to see us at the weekend. They bought the sun with them, as well as Somerset supplies – ie cider and cheese, and some bread that Ed had made. Ian had also made bread so it was battle of the bread makers!
I was poorly with a bug at the end of last week, nearly couldn’t make it into Carlisle, but it lasted for just 24 hours. Ian had it too yesterday, which was unfortunate timing as I was at felt making. I must be enjoying the course as there is no way I can imagine driving all that way otherwise – particulary if Ian is home.
I also had a felt workshop last Thursday with the Woolclip people. I was disappointed with what I made – I think I had too high expectations, but I did buy some lovely new wool.
The house is on with another agent now, it is on with Gareth Jones who is a one man band who Ian used to work with at Pattinsons. I think we are his only house – so the theory is it will be important to him to sell us, as it will be his first house, and one that he can point to as he builds his business.
Gareth commented on our www.Mineralhouse.co.uk website and ask who did it. Ian, of course, put it together and he has asked Ian to look at his to improve it.
Got some people coming to view this weekend. Don’t know anything about them. We know that the ones who viewed a couple of weeks ago aren’t going to proceed – too much of a project!
We’ll see what happens….
