We have a pigeon roosting on the window ledge over our back door. Which, given all their other options, seems unlikely to be the best place to roost!
Not only does the nesting material fall off, every time it moves (hence the pile in the grating), and its eggs roll off too. But also this has to be the HOTTEST place possible to be. When the sun is on the back of the house in the afternoon, it’s difficult to walk on the patio without shoes, but imagine what it’s like where the pigeon is roosting, in full on sun by metal window blinds! I just can’t imagine how hot it must get there.
Hopefully it will move on to somewhere more suitable!
