Typical, we get two people wanting to see the house at 3.00 today. That seems to happen to us a lot. So we changed them to one at 2.30 and one at 3.30. The 2.30 was late and the 3.30 early so we could have left it where we were.
We have a mouse probem again. This time there are some who have managed to get into the old dresser. Ian found three in the dogs food sack and took them over the other side of the river to let them free. Today, I noticed one sitting on the work top looking at me. Trouble is we can’t have mouse traps out when we have people coming round. Really must have a word with Davy. The mouse that was looking at me was quite cute. I wonder if it could be a field mouse? If so I am not sure I want to kill it – aren’t they protected or limited numbers or something. Must look on the internet.
Neither of todays viewers have buyers for their places so not holding out much hope. On the news this morning they said that the housing market was stagnant – not that it had crashed, just come to a standstill. I can see that is very much the case here. We would have been sold by now if the party who wanted to turn it into a B&B could get theirs sold. And our ‘cash’ buyers would have bought if their buyers had not fallen through. All we need is one person with lots of ready cash. Is that too much to ask…?
