Sadly Barry the Lovebird (AKA Nutcracker) died overnight. She was nearly 10, which is about average for a lovebird. She had been having turns, like mini seizures or strokes, and one started yesterday which she didn’t come round from.
We had hand reared them – here they are when they were still Nutcracker and Sugerplum (before Ian renamed them Barry and Gary).
And here she is below looking a bit grumpy.
When Gary died, we got Harry, who is the black face lovebird in the back below:
Hopefully Harry will settle down on his own. He’s next to Ludvig, so they may bond a little more.
