Last Tuesday I got a message on my phone from someone who wanted to see the house, they came round on Thursday and the photo is me cutting down the ‘for sale’ sign on Monday!
Last week I had even gone into a shop to buy a pen to rewrite our ‘for sale’ sign as it had faded in the sun as we were expecting it to be there for some time more.
We’re selling to a family from the village so it will be nice that the house becomes a family home. They originally said they would be looking to move in 6 months, however we’re hoping it will be shorter than that, as I don’t want to be moving in winter for a number of reasons – one being I know that there are suggestions there may be further flare-ups of Covid in the winter, and I don’t want to be in a position where we are trying to move in a lockdown. End of October / early November would be perfect.
So now the fun starts! We’ve created a spreadsheet with everything we need doing – and which gets bigger by the minute.
Next step – find somewhere to live 🙂
