The man who comes to tend the huerta opposite us gave us a big bag of lemons. He has a number of lemon trees and it looks like it’s been a pretty good year.
There are lemon trees everywhere – I know I’ve mentioned this before – but I just can’t think what people do with them other than use them with fish. I don’t see much in the way of lemon preserves or things in the shops.
Anyway, we dried some, Ian made a lemon version of lime pickle and I brined the rest.
We then found that our own lemon tree has given us some lemons too! So we’ll be OK for lemons for a while 🙂
