Ian decided it was time to give the windows a clean when we couldn’t work out if it was a mist we could see or smudges on the windows!
We’ve had a few sea mists recently and it’s quite interesting watching them actually drift in from the sea. We can see them out of the kitchen window as they swirl up the valley.
We haven’t had a really heavy mist like the one earlier this year that came through the windows.
Familiar…??
This suddenly appeared on the road to Burela. We were driving to the vet and I thought to myself ‘that lighthouse is very obvious’ – then I thought ‘but hang on, there isn’t a light house on this road (and if there was it wouldn’t be inland)’.

Then as we got to Burela, I noticed the lighthouse 👇

Does it look familiar?
The new ‘lighthouse’ is actually the mould that was used to repair the lighthouse in Burela when it was damaged in a storm. The mould will become part of an area celebrating the history of fishing and seafaring industries in the area.
We can see the lighthouse mould from the end of the road – I’m still getting used to the new ‘lighthouse’!
