One of the things that I like most this time of year is the fact that it still doesn’t get dark until after six. So we can go out for a walk or cycle ride comparatively late in the afternoon. Of course, it doesn’t get light till late in the morning, but as our new routine involves us starting the day working on our new website it really doesn’t make any difference.
We went for a cycle ride today, and left it till later in the afternoon. We decided to steer clear of anywhere which might be waterlogged so we headed over the road out of the village past the romeria ground. Think we made a good choice as there was certainly a lot of water in the fields and I think that some of the stream beds that we cross without problem when they are dry, may be a very different matter now.
Pirata is increasingly confident. This week he came into one of my classes. He jumped over the gate and came into the room wandering round quite happily despite the noise of excited children. He ended up sitting on a chair and ‘watching’ what was going on. He’s a funny little cat.
I am pleased to report that, having gone through a Mr Potato Head stage, my swellings have reduced. I am pretty certain it was something to do with the giant mosquito that was hovering around.
