Won’t see this again for another 19 years :)

We have just had or are having the lowest low tides and highest high tides for 19 years! We went to Rueta beach (‘our’ beach at the end of the road) to see the low tide, and it was very low!

The stones in the photo above are the ones at the very end point on the left.

Which appear very far out when the tide is in, like in the photo below (which is a bit dark as it was early in the morning when I took this)

It was interesting to walk around and see things from a different angle

I wasn’t sure whether I saw the eclipse or not, but I think I probably missed it. I couldn’t get a good photo, but the moon was very bright.

We also went to ‘Little Beach’ which is just outside San Cibrao going the other way. It’s normally a small beach with a couple of coves either side. It was certainly a lot bigger with the low tide.

We got yet another view of San Cirbao and mermaid island!

Little Beach has previously been a great place for small pieces of seaglass – but good quality pieces in a variety of colours. There was very little though this time, wonder if that’s season/tide related…??
