Chicken Reduction

We’ve rehomed some of our chickens – in fact all bar three hens and one cockeral. The one cockeral we didn’t rehome is called Limpy. So that gives a bit of a clue as to why we didn’t rehome him. They all went to a group of children to take to their respective country houses, so I guess their parents will no doubt be delighted to find that they rugged Extremaduran chickens are soon going to be joined by fluffy silkies. The children who took them actually came to our door selling eggs, so it was funny how it worked out. The four chickens have left have a nice little hen house that they will live in. This is currently flat-packed by the front door we’ll get that done once the builders have left. Then we can start to plan the back yard and decide what trees we are going to plant.

Saw our first poppys this week so all the signs are pointing towards spring starting with a vengeance.

This week should be back to normal after 4 weeks of working on my new site, however I’ve given myself another week. It’s nearly all done, so it seems sensible to get it finished.
