We decided to take our pasties out for a road test at lunch time. We went down to the village picnic spot which wasn’t far away. Pasties stood up to the journey well, but Ian cheated, putting his inside a rucksack. I stuck mine into a small bag on my bike, only to find that a/ it didn’t fit in and b/ was so big I kept knocking my knee against it. This resulted in a very slow ride to the picnic spot as I couldn’t bear the disappointment – or indeed the mess – of dropping the pasty onto the road.
Our verdict…?? Thumbs up. They were nowhere near as bad as we feared. Ian confidently pronounced them fit for breakfast, lunch or tea. Which is good!
Manuel came round yesterday to talk to us about the kitchen. He’s going to come back over the next day or so to tell us what he thinks- plus with some quotes for worksurfaces. How exciting!
