Manualidades

I am recovering from a morning of manualidades with my class. They go back to school next week so I said instead of a class today we’d have a morning of crafts. There were only three of them as I forgot that today is Extremadura day. We made salt dough which we dried in the oven, shrink plastic and paper flowers. They managed to coat everything in a liberal helping of paint and glitter. The salt dough didn’t dry completely and the paint helped it to return to a gooey mess, so I am sure the parents will wonder why we made painted splodges.

Jesus has finished painting the back of the house and it looks great. He has also taken four of our chickens. We have him one of our cockerals and a mix from this year. Hopefully we gave him two girls.

We came home on Saturday and found one of our chickens in the field behind us. I think that it must have flown over the wall when Manuel came in in his van. Needless to say, Ian running round the field after a squawking fluffy chicken was a sight I’ll remember for a long time!
