Well, ‘discover’ is perhaps a little misleading as, being a large reservoir feeding most of south Extremadura, the chances are other people had also discovered it. Oh, and the Roman spa town on the banks of the reservoir suggests it’s quite a popular spot. But anyway, it was new to us and about 10 minutes from the Merida road.
