Any guesses what this is? It’s the ceiling above where the shelves were in the kitchen. Look at the size of the stones! When they pulled the ceiling down, a load of wheat fell on them – a huge amount. No idea as to whether this was insulation, or left over from when the upstairs was a granary or some other strange reason. I didn’t get a picture, however the floor was several inches deep in wheat!
