Tumbling Glass

Well, I seem to have caused some bemusement when I said we would tumble glass in the cement mixer. We’d get two results – put the glass in without sand and the glass will rub against itself, softening the edges. Put the glass in with sand and it will start to look like sea glass and go opaque-ish.

Doing it this way will be much cheaper than buying glass tiles – and we’ll have a much greater control over the results too.

One other variation that we might try is tumbling marble off-cuts from the marble workshop, but at this moment we’re favoring glass.

Sam had a seizure a couple of days ago. So far it has just been the one, there was nothing that seemed to have triggered it – normal food, normal weather, normal day – so I don’t know what, if anything, caused it. It was a reasonably long one, but he recovered very quickly.
