The village has been gearing up for a huge celebration this weekend – one of the residents is being ordained. The party started yesterday and ended today – about now in fact with a huge mass. There are thirty priests coming from surrounding parishes.
Somehow I think that what would be a long mass might take place in record breaking time so they can get to the bars to watch the football.
We are in the middle of a heatwave. From the wettest May we are now having the hottest June. We were talking to someone yesterday who lives in Seville (back for the ordination party) who said the temperature was 48 there. It has been 44 around here. The temperature is due to drop next week to 25 or so. Phew!
