Well, I was delighted to received some business cards through the post. I wasn’t expecting them, they arrived as I have been writing for Suite101.com for a year. I was delighted, that is, until Ian pointed out that Extremadura had been truncated to Extremad, or extra mad as he liked to put it. Seeing that actually Ian is probably the only person I would give a card too, it is probably not that important.
I have been invited to be a judge on the second international thread bear award panel. Thread bears, in case you are wondering are little tiny bears that (I think) can be no bigger than 2 inches tall. They are crocheted or needlefelted. I will know more later, but think it will entail not a lot more than looking at photos of bears.
It rained last night but we didn’t flood. It was proper rain and the drive back from class was horrible. The weather really has been all over the place; our teacher bought in some wild asparagus to show us (not knowing that Ian and I are experts) that she had picked and this was a month early. We had also been told in the village that asparagus had been sighted, so it is obviously quite a big thing!
