Hoppy Christmas

I came out of Ian’s office after feeding Hamish and heard footsteps behind me. I turned round by the gate and found that Hamish had followed me. Hopping.

Since then he has been up and down like a little jack in the box, this is the first time he has got up for pleasure. He doesn’t go far, just hops around the room and then back – he definitely sees Ian’s office as being his ‘safe’ area.

Today he has started to play. As the vet said he is less than a year old we shouldn’t be surprised that he is playing like a puppy.

We are so pleased – just wish he would put his leg down – or that we could get a clue as to what is wrong with it – but he is now strong enough for an x-ray if necessary. I finished trimming his rear end today and his tail sits at right angles pointing to the right. Don’t know if this was the accident or if it has always been like that. it is only a short stumpy tail so some of it got lost at some time before.

Anyway – father christmas calls….
