Davy update & wall

Although at the most Davy was only lost for 18 hours, he seemed to have scared himself as he has stayed close to the house, and is being very affectionate. In particular waking us up in the night with his padding and meowing letting us know that he is here. A few little dribbles are added for emphasis. We’re not sure really what happened as he is very capable of getting over walls – I wonder if perhaps he was out having adventures when it rained and went in for shelter, fell asleep and couldn’t remember where he was. We won’t know, but it is good to know that he replies when called.

The rain has now stopped and it is sunny. It is cold in the morning – well not frosty cold, but fresh. It gets hotter during mid day – probably 25 degrees or so, which is a nice temperature. Everything is getting greener now – which seems strange. In autumn things get green, in summer it gets brown. The reverse to what we are used to.

Unfortunately the wall at the far end of the rear yard (the one that devides us from the field) has collapsed. Not sure when it happened, it was ok when we went to the hospital on Thursday so I guess sometime Friday. Ian went to the bar to ask about builders – hmmm. However it seems that the rain has caused quite a lot of damage in different houses and the builders are quite busy, but hopefully someone will come and see us to give us a quote. The field sometimes has sheep in it – so we might have some sheepy friends next time we go out into the rear yard.

The clocks changed today. And we remembered for once…
