Yesterday, Easter Sunday, we took our bikes out. And probably for the first time ever, I was able to go for a bike ride without having to get off to push it up a hill. It was great! We went for a cycle ride out towards the cement works, but instead of turning left we went straight on and out towards Usagre. Obviously on bikes we could get a lot further than we would on foot and we found ourselves in very different countryside. A sort of combination between Dorset and Tellytubby land. Again the wild flowers were stunning, and of course we didn’t have our camera, so the birds came out and posed for us. We saw one particular bird which has a spike on its head. I’ve tried to photograph this bird before and it normally disappears soon as the camera comes out. Without a camera though, it quite happily sat there showing us its good side. I will try to get some pics of the flowers as they are stunning.
We wondered if there may have been something on yesterday, if there was we didn’t hear it. I am surprised that the band wasn’t out and about. There were big celebrations in the towns so perhaps people went to that. It will be nice when our Spanish is good enough to be able to find these things out.
Last night I fell asleep with the side light on, and woke up to see a cat about 13 foot long in the room. Strange, I thought, and then realized that Davy was projecting himself on to the wall.
Today is a normal working day, last Thursday however was a holiday.
