Ian´s Update

We´re sat in a cyber cafe in Llerena this morning which we´ve only just discovered, despite having walked past a few times. As we´re still waiting on Telefonica to pull their fingers out and give us a phone line, we continue to be reliant on other services to keep us connected, the biggest drawback being that it´s awkward to transfer files.

The library in Villagarcia only has 2 machines that you can copy to a floppy or cd with and these tend to be much in demand. There is a CD reader which allows you to upload files to the other 4 machines, but they have now way of writing.

To get around this difficulty, we today invested in a 512mb USB data keyring so that we can trasnsfer stuff easily from any of the PCs as they all have at least one USB port.

I´m keeping quite busy at the moment with work coming through from Four Square in Penrith, though I´ve had to work 8 hours gratis this week as a goodwill gesture to one client after a small cock-up on a print job, but there´s quite a bit of other work coming in.

Once we get online at home, I´m hoping to put a new site online for our new house and will probably move this blog to there at that point. I´ll let you all know when that happens.

Got to go. Work calls.
