It took Little Sheep and the Rhode. We are very upset with ourselves as we should have put then away, we just didn’t think that the fox would go into the barn with the goats, or find the Rhode in the middle of the field. Little Sheep was of course one of our favourites and it is very sad to think that the fox took her. I knew straightaway that she had been taken as she is soon as we opened the front door in the mornign she would come racing round from the barn. She was sat on eggs so I have put them in the incubator, I don’t know if they will hatch but it would be nice to think that we had a couple of her chicks to remember her by.
We know now that we cannot take any chances and we must put all the animals away. We’ve liked the fact that our birds are all free range, however we may need to review this if we cannot get rid of the fox.
