….and we’re keeping an eye on flights to make sure they are easily (ish) accessable, and everything we are looking at is accessable from either Bournemouth or Southampton and from Bristol.
We had to take drastic action last night with our hen who is leaving her chicks outside at night whilst she snuggles down in the shed. We caught her chicks and then grabed her as she was about to retire to the warmth of her perch in the shed and popped her in the box with them. I think she was less then pleased but we really couldn’t leave her keeping all nice and warm whilst her poor chicks fended form themselves over night. The funny thing is that the chicks know immediately in the morning which their mum is during the general mayhem which is feeding time and make their way almost instantly to her.
