Oh dear, I guess it was inevitable…

Ludvig has started talking to the electronic devices – and they are talking to him back! I first noticed it on Saturday, when he was happily chattering away to himself, only for Alexa to join in, surprising us all with the fact that koalas eat 500 gms of leaves a day. I’m not sure what Alexa heard Ludvig say, but needless to say, Ludvig was only slightly more bemused than us by Alexa’s pronouncement on koala leaf consumption.

He has now started saying ‘hey google’ and being informed that Google can’t help him right now and for him to check the internet connection. Luckily we don’t have any smart devices, like lights he can switch on and off or doors he can lock. I had thought that smart devices were a great idea, however living with a talking parrot has dulled my enthusiasm for them rather! If I had to call the police saying ‘help, my parrot has locked me out the house’ I think they would just think that there was a failure in translation somewhere…
